We’ve selected 5 true hackademics to join Dale J. Stephens in Seattle for his “Learn Anything: Hacking Your Education” workshop February, 1-3. During this 3-day event, these individuals will work with Dale in person to build their own custom learning plans!

Here’s your chance to get to know them a little better before the workshop begins.

Ashton Tate from Jacksonville, FL (@_AshtonTate_) – Ashton is 23 years old. He completed a study abroad program in Argentina and after graduating with a degree in finance and economics, he continued studying languages in London. Being a hackademic has lead him on an exciting path, learning skills that were never mentioned at his university. He enjoys learning foreign languages, practicing public speaking, and working with electronics. His current goal is to learn as much as he can about the field of computer programming.

Brian Looper from Tacoma, Wa. (@brianlooper) – Brian is a “connoisseur of information and adventure.” He is a father of 4 children and is skeptical that the traditional school system will give his children the education they deserve. Brian journeys to creativeLIVE in search of alterative education methods that will benefit his 4 children.

Morgan Burdick from Seattle, Wa. – Morgan is currently in her second year at Seattle University pursuing degrees in Humanities and General Science. She grew up living abroad spending time in and out of formal education. She hopes Dale can teach her how to efficiently learn on her own time.

Jordan Boyd from Vancouver, BC. (@jboydvan) – Jordan had a tough time in high school. His grades never reflected what he learned and his frustration grew with each dissappointing grade. He’s now 22 and is an avid reader, composer and self-learner. Jordan is currently in the process of launching an in-home technology training company called Social Pigeon, which specializes in training people how to use their computer or tablet. He hopes Dale can help him streamline the learning process of starting a business.

Ashley Hogrebe from Bellingham,WA. (@ashleyhogrebe) – Ashley studies Public Relations at Western Washington University.
